“Swine flu” pandemic announced in the world

The level of a pandemic threat of influenza A/H1N1 ("swine flu") has become maximal. The decision was taken by the World Health Organization on June 11. BelTA reports that the sixth (maximal) threat level of a pandemic has been introduced for the first time in the past 40 years in connection with the rapid distribution of the flu in the world. As of June 10, 27 thousand 737 cases of influenza A/H1N1 have been registered in 74 states. 141 of the infected people have died.
