Swimming: Belarus men take bronze at European championships

Belarus male swimmers have won bronze at the European Swimming Championship in Israel. Pavel Sankovich (pictured), Ilya Shymanovich, Yauhen Tsurkin and Anton Latkin finished third in the combined 4x50 relay. Italy won gold and Russia was the second.

Pressball reports Team Belarus is 15th in the medal count standings. Belarus took four medals: silver by Yauhen Tsurkin in the 50m butterfly and three bronzes in the relays. Hungary is No 1 with 15 medals, including 11 gold.
