Belarus to sell Baranavichydreu to private investor
The Belarus government is set to sell the state-owned wood-processing factory in Baranavichy.
The announcement came from Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich on October 24 during his visit to the company. Previously, the company specialized in the production of joinery and rasp-molded products for the construction industry, but now production at the plant is stopped, it is under external management.
According to the government press service, the investor is already actively working here, it is installing modern equipment for production of export-oriented products including prefabricated timber frame houses, furniture fronts. Products are already shipped for export. Mikhail Myasnikovich said that after the procedure is complete, "it will be quite a competitive company that will make a worthy contribution to the economic development of the region," BelTA reports.
