Smugglers disguised like frontier guards caught at Lithuanian border
Four smugglers were detained by frontier guards and tax inspectors 700 meters away from the Belarusian-Lithuanian border on May 14. Four Belarusian citizens were trying to deliver 10 thousand packs of cigarettes to Lithuania illegally, the Border Committee press service reports.
The smugglers were disguised and had portable radio facilities. They resembled frontier guards from afar. They used three low power radio stations for communication.
The confiscated cigarettes cost 66 million roubles. The goods and the radio facilities have been sent to Hrodna Province tax inspectorate.
