Shareholders from "unfriendly" countries can't sell stakes in Belarus

Aliaksandr Lukašenka has banned foreigner from "unfriendly countries” to sell freely their shares or property of Belarusian enterprises, which they own.

Such transactions can only be executed only when authorised by a resolution of the Belarus government, according to the edict, published on Lukašenka's official portal.

Moreoever, in order to have their assets estranged in Belarus, "unfriendly foreigners" are obliged to pay a duty to the local budget in amount of at least 25% of the market values of the on-sale assets.
