Schengen visa costs for Belarusians down to 35 euros from next year - official

The signing of documents with the European Union on mutual facilitation of the visa regime are in the final stages. Already in June, Belarus and European Union may end negotiations on visa-regime facilitation and readmission, head of Department for Citizenship and Migration at the Interior Ministry Alyaksei Byahun told sb.by TV channel. According to him, "the documents are basically ready for signing" and "if everythig is okay, the two agreements are likely to come into force in the new year."

Alyaksei Byahun noted that in 2018 the cost of a Schengen visa for Belarusians will be reduced from 60 down to 35 euros. Three-year and five-year-long visas may be introduced. Belarus is among the countries with the highest number of received Schengen visas.
