French President Nicolas Sarkozy and German Chancellor Angela Merkel put on white-red-white wrist rings with For Freedom incriptions during a meeting in Berlin on May 11.
One day earlier, the leaders from the two countries met with German political activists and guests from olther countries, including the representatives of the Belarusian youth christian social union "Young Democrats".
Sarkozy and Merkel expressed hope that one day Belarus would be part of a united Europe, reports Belapan.
