Rymasheuski invited to PACE meeting in Paris

The co-leader of the Christian Democracy and a presidential contender Vital Rymasheuski has been invited to make a speech at a meeting of the PACE Political Affairs Committee in Paris on November 18, informs the “Nasha Niva” newspaper. The situation in Belarus will be discussed at the meeting among other things. The vice speaker of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly Victar Huminski, a reviewer of “Narodnaya Gazeta” Andrei Babok and the deputy chairperson of the Belarusian Association of Journalists Andrei Alyaksandrau will also take part in the meeting.

The Parliamentary Assembly is one of the main statutory organs of the Council of Europe. It is an advisory body including representatives of all member states of the Council of Europe. The Belarusian Parliament was temporarily deprived of the status of a special invitee in 1997 and it not represented at its sessions.
