Russia spots Belarusian dumping at potassium market

The issue was discussed by Russian Vice PM Arkadii Dvorkovich and Belarusian Bank of Development Chairman Syarhei Rumas at a meeting in Moscow on Tuesday, Interfax reports. The fact has also been confirmed by one of Belaruskali top managers.

They discussed Belarusian potassium chloride supplies to Russia through independent trading structures. The fertilizers are cheaper that the ones offered by Russian potassium giant Uralkali. 9 thousand tons of Belarusian potassium chloride was exported to Russia in 2012 and 27 thousand tons in the first half of 2013.

Uralkali haulted potassium export sales via the Belarusian Potassium Company and withdrew from a joint venture with Belaruskali last week.
