Russia introduces special sanitary regime for Belarus

У Расіі пачынае дзейнічаць спецрэжым на ўвоз садавіны і гародніны праз Беларусь

A special sanitary regime for fruit and vegetables transported from Belarus will come into force on December 7. The Russian Agricultural Inspectorate is hoping to prevent the re-export of banned goods this way.

Certificates for fruit and vegetables transported from Belarus will become required on this day. Russians will be checking products brought from Morocco, Egypt, Israel, Turkey, Macedonia, Republic of South Africa, Ecuador, China, Brazil, Switzerland and Mexico – apples, pears, mushrooms, pepper, kiwis, peaches, salad, strawberries, red currants and gooseberries.

Fruit and vegetables supplies from Turkey will be checked by January 1. Then Russia will ban the supplies of Turkish products.
