Russia has not withdrawn all troops from Georgia

The French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner has claimed that, according to French sources, Russian troops left the so-called buffer zones adjacent to South Ossetia and Abkhazia in the indicated terms but they have not fulfilled the other demand – they were supposed to take the positions they occupied before the conflict. The presence of Russian troops in Ahalgorsk District and Kaldor gorge that used to be controlled by Georgia before the conflict is a point at issue.

Russia removed its troops from the Georgian territory on Wednesday. It was announced that it had happened according to previous agreements.
