Russia gives Belarus 1.5 billion dollar credit

Russia will give Belarus a stabilizing credit of 1.5 billion dollars in 2007-2008. The document was signed by the two countries’ Ministers of Finance in Minsk on Friday. The credit will be given for 15 years with a postponement of 5 years.  "RIA-Novosti" informs about it.

The agreement on the credit can be found in the memorandum on the current stage of economic cooperation development signed at the end of Lukashenka and Putin’s negotiations.

The memorandum says that the credit will be allocated in 2007-2008. Russia and Belarus will sign an intergovernmental agreement about it.
