Rights activist Vouchak to sue presidential newspaper on May 14

Prominent human rights lawyer Aleh Vouchak is to sue the presidential newspaper Sovietskaya Belorussia on May 14. He seeks to compensate moral damages of Br70 million and denounce the information published about him in March 2009.
According to the rights activist, he wants to demonstrate that it is possible to defend your rights in Belarus.

Aleh Vouchak: “It is important to me to demonstrate that human rights activists will not keep silent when they are degraded. Secondly, I want to make sure that journalists who work for state-owned newspapers to keep justice, because there is the media law which has to be observed without slander. Truth, and only the truth, should be published".
