Volha Samusik passed away a year ago

Singer, journalist and cheerful girl Volha Samusik passed away a year ago. She was only 25 but she had managed to leave a trace in the Belarusian rock music in the short period. She recorded the album “Distortion” with the legendary band zygimontVAZA. Then she recorded a few songs with the restored band Hasta la Fillsta. Volha cooperated with B:N:, NeuroDubel, ZM99, The UNB and took part in Lyavon Volski’s projects “Krambamnulya” and “There is no such thing anywhere else”. Volha received the title “Rock princess” at the Rock Coronation in 2008.

A charity concert in memory of Volha Samusik will be given in Minsk Loft Cafe on December 8. All the money will be presented to the singer’s parents and will be spent on her monument.

“Of course, we wanted to gather all the bands and people she worked with, - says organizer of the concert and vocalist of ZM99 Zoya Sahonchyk. – But some of the invited musicians are forbidden in our country. If they give a performance, the club will be closed down automatically. We cannot allow it. But they will be present there – they will sit at the tables”.

As a result, ZM99, Pomidor/OFF, IQ48 and the band Tarpach will perform at the concert in memory of Volha Samusik. The tickets cost 30 thousand roubles (to the dance floor) and 50 thousands if you book a table.
