Volha Bandarenka: Zmitser is happy for everyone who is released
The political prisoner's wife says that Zmitser will not ask for pardon but does not judge those who did it.
According to Volha Bandarenka, she met with her husband in hospital on Wednesday (let us remind you, he had a complicated surgery on his spine before). They touched upon the topic of writing a pardon request in their conversation, among the other things. Zmitser said that, naturally, he would not write anything like this.
"My husband is happy for everyone who is released. He does not judge anyone but he will not write such a letter himself", Mrs. Volha says.
Volha Bandarenka has confessed to Euroradio that she had an idea to write a request for pardon, before Zmitser's surgery "because I was in despair". She started writing it but changed her mind in the very beginning.
Volha Bandarenka thinks that it would be to the authorities' advantage to release Zmitser without the request for pardon. "Moreover, one third of his term expires on August 20, and he has a right to appeal for change of restraint, " - says the political prisoner's wife.
