Victar Karnyayenka not allowed to leave Belarus for OSCE conference
He has been informed at Minsk airport that he is on the travel ban list.
Let us remind you that the co-chairperson of the civil campaign "For Fair Election" Victar Karnyayenka had been going to take part in the OSCE conference "Democratic Elections and Election Observation", in Vienna (by the way, CEC chairperson Lidziya Yarmoshyna has left for the conference). He has already had problems trying to go abroad before. Victar Karnyayenka has informed Euroradio about it:
"I have had problems before. I just thought that it was an international conference and the authorities would have to change their behaviour because I had been invited there. But it did not happen... As I have already said, I will not be able to take part in the conference".
According to Karnyayenka, a hearing of his case will be organized in court on July 18. He will be able to find out why he is not allowed to go abroad.
Victar Kanyayenka's house in Fanipal was searched yesterday. Policemen confiscated over 870 thousand copies of printed editions during the search.
