Viachaslau Dziyanau: "Silent actions" are not likely to remain the same
One of the initiators of the “Revolution through social networks” thinks that now it's time for new forms of protest to develop.
A new plan of July 27 silent action has been published in the social networks.The initiators suggest to gather at a city's central market at 13.00. In Minsk, for example, this will be Kamarouski market. The participants will gather near closed pavillions and stand there for half an hour, and then leave. In case the market is closed, the organizers suggest to gather near the main entrance.
Euroradio has addressed to coordinator of the group "Revolution through social netwrks" Viachaslau Dziyanau for a comment.
Euroradio: You stated in your message that markets are "more secure places from the psychological point of view". Why?
Dziyanau: “Firstly, it is not the place that's important, but the fact that the concept of the actions has changed, as we do not focus on some place now, but take all the local actions and local ideas as a basis. I think the silent actions in their previous form will not be repeated, but new forms will develop and grow in numbers”.
Euroradio: 13:00, Wednesday - this is working time. Do you hope that people will come at such time?
Dziyanau: “We wrote that we would continue our actions on Saturdays. This action will be a passing period to the future actions. If there are not many people now that doesn't mean there won't be more people on Saturday”.
