Venezuela may hold presidential re-election
Inauguration of Hugo Chavez, re-elected as President in October, has been postponed from January 10 till uncertain time.
The reason for this is the
health condition of the Venezuelan Single Socialist party's leader. This has
been informed by RBC with
a reference to the American media. This information has not received official
confirmation yet. However, political analysts say that Chavez' recovery after
the surgery is dragging on.
Chavez had a surgery in the beginning of December and there were complications.
The politician got airways inflammation after the carcinectomy. According to
the official information, Hugo Chavez is getting better.
However, the opposition refers to the doctors who know the situation. They used
to say that Hugo would not survive the next Spring.
According to the law, if a President is not subjected to the vow in due time, the opposition can demand re-election within 30 days.
