Top-manager of big Minsk company to stand trial for "silent protest action"

The man was detained together with his son-in-law at about 7 p.m. near the GUM store and transported to the Moscow district police department. There were 32 people altogether. Policemen videoed all of them, recorded their personal data, including IMEA-codes of their cell-phones, and took their fingerprints, BelaPAN reports.

At about 3 a.m. the son-in-law was released, while the father-in-law wasn't. It is likely that a charge of petty hooliganism was drawn against him. The son-in-law explained this by his father-in-law's ability to ask unpleasant questions, being the top-manager. For example, he asked the policemen why they had detained them, why they had not allowed using cell-phones etc.
