Switzerland-Belarus 3:2 (photo report)

Belarus national team has lost a decisive match to Switzerland – 2:3 and has made its task to make it to the play-off very difficult. The quarter-final has become a dream after the loss. Our team will have to defeat the French, Kazaks, Slovaks and one of the favourites (Americans or Canadians) to get to the top-4.

Here is our photo report of Switzerland-Belarus match.

Belarus has been unable to defeated Switzerland for the seventh world championship on end.

Unlike in the match against Finland, Vital Kovel was not that lucky in the match against Switzerland. The first two goals were scored due to the goalkeeper’s mistakes (Photo by Reuters).

The only NHL player in our team, Mihail Hrabouski, missed his opportunity during the match (Photo by Reuters).

Hrabouski had a great chance to show himself. Mihail could tie and save the match 4 minutes before the end. However, our penalty shot virtuoso did not manage to score a goal (Photo by Reuters).

The tickets that cost 100 euro scared away our fans. Only a few people supported Belarus: most of them were the hockey players’ friends and relatives and the most dedicated fans who managed to outvoice numerous Swiss fans wearing superman’s costumes (Photo by Getty Images).
