Swedish authorities urge their citizens to be careful in Belarus

According to the information provided by "Belarusian Partisan", Swedish Foreign Ministry does not have information about any incidents happening to the Swedish citizens in Belarus, but the Embassy in Minsk considers that "there is a necessity to watch out".

"About 10 citizens of Sweden live in Belarus, and approximately 3,5 thousand visas to visit the country are issued annually to the Swedes", — informs the Swedish MFA.

Let us remind you, the diplomatic scandal started after the incident when the Swedish light-motor plane threw about 800 teddy bears holding leaflets for freedom of speech over Minsk area on July 4. The Belarusian authorities did not renew the accreditation for the Swedish Ambassador and suggested to liquidate the Embassy by August 30.
