Rimantas Grigas may become new coach of Belarus national women’s basketball
The Basketball Federation and the Lithuanian specialist are about to finish their negotiations.
The agreement is likely to be signed by the end of the week, informs “Pressball”. Rimantas Grigas is the manager’s assistant of Yekaterinburg club UGMK. The 49-year-old coach was considered to be the optimal candidate on the expanded list that included about 15 names.
Let us remind you that Anatol Buyalski who occupied the position of the manager of the women’s team announced that he was not going to prolong his contract with the Belarusian Basketball Federation. Belarus women’s team headed by Buyalski won the bronze medal at the European Championship in 2007, took the 6th position at Beijing Olympics and became the top-4 team of the world in 2010.
