Petition to release Ales Byalyatski appears on Internet
The signees demand to release the convicted human rights defender as soon as possible.
Representatives of the civil community urge their colleagues, ordinary citizens and the international community to support Byalyatski.
The petition says that the criminal case started against the human rights defender and the sentence pronounced to him were illegal. It became evident that the reason for the prosecution of Byalyatski was his long-term human rights activities in Belarus, informs the human rights centre “Viasna”.
