Pavel Vinahradau invites opposition leaders to meet him on release

Vinahradau is serving a 12-day arrest sentence. He was found guilty of hoisting a white-red-white flag and displaying Mikalai Statkevich’s photo near the entrance into a Metro station in Minsk.

Vinahradau will be released at 5.30 p.m. on May 4. He will mark his 25th birthday on that day. The level of solidarity in the opposition circles has reduced, the activist said in his blog on Belarusian Partisan.  He suggests that opposition leaders should set an example for the others. He expects to see Vital Rymasheuski, Uladzimir Matskevich, Uladzimir Nyaklyayeu, Anatol Lyabedzka, Alyaksandr Milinkevich, Alyaksei Yanukevich, Volha Karach, Iryna Veshtard and Syarhei Kalyakin when he is released. Everyone should demonstrate solidarity instead of simply speaking about it, Vinahradau reckons.
