The United Civil Party has a long tradition of celebrating the New Year's Day.  It was not followed only in 2010. The tradition will be restored this year, party leader Anatol Lyabedzka said.

Anatol Lyabedzka: “We have a tradition: our Father Frost wishes a Happy New Year to diplomats and visits some editorial offices."

The UCP used to organize a corporate party in cafes and this year's variant is cheap - in the office. Maybe some young party members would like to take away Father Frost's beard from Anatol Lyabedzka this year, however, party primaries will be held in connection with it, Lyabedzka laughs.

The BPF Party has a tradition of corporate New Year parties too. But they have no Father Frost or Snow Maiden! The party is held "between Catholic Christmas and the New Year's Day", Alyaksei Yanukevich said.

Alyaksei Yanukevich: “We have our own talented people - some of them have good voices and can sing well. Other know a lot of songs. Our members can even play the button accordion – Ryhor Kastusyou and I studied music for 8 years!"

The movement "For Freedom" does not have any Father Frost either, deputy leader Yuras Hubarevich confessed.

Yuras Hubarevich: “We have a practice of giving small gifts to one another. Sometimes our party leader Alyaksandr Milinkevich plays this part."

But you cannot make Milinkevich put on a white beard and a red nose.

The left from "Fair World" do not consider Christmas a holiday but will organize their New Year party. They will celebrate it to live music, deputy party leader Valery Uhnalyou said.

Valery Uhnalyou: “They usually listen to Ionica, play the button accordion and there is live music - it is fine!"

The deputy party leader has also played the part of Father Frost a few times. And Syarhei Kalyakin would not mind joining a musical trio on his guitar. There is one more tradition: everyone comes with a present - a toy for the party New Year's tree. It should preferably be hand-made.

"Tell the Truth" has the shortest party history. However, they have not refused from corporate parties either. They even organized one in 2010 when the party leader was in KGB prison, deputy leader Andrei Dzmitryyeu said.

Andrei Dzmitryyeu: “We invite interesting Belarusian bands and celebrate with members from all over the republic. We don't have a Snow Maiden but either me or Nyaklyayeu will play the part of Father Frost this year."

Alyaksandr Fyaduta will be asked to dress like a rabbit again. He did it during a party in the PEN-centre once.

Nyaklyayeu's team will hold their New Year party last - before the Old New Year.  Dzmitryyeu jokingly calls the party "the last blow on the liver".
