National Bank: No devaluation planned

Head of the National Bank Nadzeya Yermakova has claimed it today, on November 21. "No devaluation is planned or expected at the moment or in the foreseeable future," reports BelaPAN quoting her.

Yermakova has described positive changes in the deposit market where a small increase of deposits in Belarusian roubles is observed now.

Foreign currency deposits are also increasing, she noted. The increase rate is bigger than the increase in rouble deposits but not as big as in the third quarter of the year.

The population started withdrawing their rouble deposits in October. The administration of the National Bank hoped to change this tendency.
