Minsk City Court has not changed anarchists’ sentences

Let us remind you that Ihar Alinevich, Mikalai Dzyadok, Alyaksandr Frantskevich, Maxim Vetkin and Yauhen Selivonchyk were imprisoned for a number of political actions. In particular, they were returned guilty of the attack against the Russian Embassy in August 2010.

The court has considered the appeal sent by Alinevich, Dzydok and Frantsekvich and has not changed their sentences. They will try to appeal the court’s decision in higher instances, notes “Anarchist Black Cross – Belarus” in its press release.

Vetkin and Selivonchyk have not lodged any appeals. Vetkin and Selivonchyk pled guilty in court in May and gave evidence against the other suspects. Alinevich, Dzyadok and Frantskevich plead not guilty.
