MFA has not received Marek Migalski's letter so far
Therefore, it is not going to react to the MEP's appeal.
Migalski's assistant Hanna Balias has informed in a comment to Radio Liberty, that the letter was sent via mail yesterday. Moreover, the MEP's office will also send the letter by fax.
We remind, Migalski appealed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus
asking permit to visit political prisoners Zmitser Dashkevich and Mikalaj
Statkevich. The MEP is holding an action of solidarity with Dashkevich and
Statkevich for several months already and turns the attention of Poland and the
international community to the condition of these political prisoners and the
common situation with human rights in Belarus.
Besides, Migalski planned
to visit Belarus in August 2011, but got a refusal.
