Major General Viktar Vyahera discharged from KGB Deputy Head position
The general is relieved of his duties by Belarus President's decree on April 1
Vyahera was a Deputy Head on counterespionage activities. He was transferred to the reserve from the military service due to age, with the right to wear the military uniform and honourable distinctions.
Victar Vyahera served as the head of the Hrodna regional KGB administration before moving to Minsk in January 2005 when he was appointed as First Deputy Chairman of Belarus' State Security Committee.
