Lithuanian journalists not admitted to Belarus
The team of the Lithuanian TV-channel LTV was going to Hrodna on Wednesday.
At the border, the customs officers informed journalist Ruta Lankininkajte that she was an undesirable person in Belarus and that her visa was revoked.
According to the portal DELFI, the Lithuanians wanted to make a TV-report on how Belarusians live in the conditions of inflation. The customs officers told the journalist that her accreditation was valid but her visa was revoked, and advised to clarify the situation in Minsk.
Ms. Lankininkajte reported the situation to the Lithuanian Embassy in Belarus.
The journalist has worked in Belarus for about 6 years. Every year she obtained official visas and annual accreditation, which allow to visit our country, together with operator Jonas Grishkonis.
