KGB investigator to decide whether to release Anton Surapin by 4 p.m.

Let us remind you that the picture of teddy bears with parachutes and mottoes in support of the freedom of speech in Belarus were first published by Anton on his website bnp.by.

KGB members came to his flat on the morning of July 13. They searched the flat and Anton stopped answering his phone soon afterwards. Anton Surapin's friend wrote on Twitter in the evening that an investigator had informed the guy's mother that her son had been detained for 72 hours for a check-up.

Surapin's mother has informed Euroradio (she has arrived in the capital from Slutsk today) that the decision whether to jail Anton will be taken by 4 p.m. today:

"We have just left KGB. They said that the official deadline was not 10.30 a.m. (the moment when the search started - Euroradio) but 4 p.m. The investigator will decide whether to release him or not".

Let us remind you that the first information about the flight of a Swedish plane over Belarus and "the landing" of teddy bears appeared on July 4. A full video of the flight was published on the Internet later. The official Minsk refutes the information about the illegal crossing of the Belarusian border and says that the video and photos were "shopped".
