IMF: Belarus spends about 14% of GDP on state subsidies
It is indicated in the report of the International Monetary Fund on certain issues of the Belarsuain economy.
Experts of the fund think that the Belarusian authorities could reduce subsidies and help low-income families. The IMF notes that the subsidies are direct and indirect transfers. The latter include keeping the prices of some goods at the same level with the help of the budget. For example, housings services and public transport tariffs and housing credits, informs BelaPAN.
