Holy Spirit Church built in 1636 restored in Minsk (photo fact)

The repair works of the Holy Spirit Church situated in Freedom Square are coming to an end in Minsk. The church was built in 1636 and was blown up by communists in the 1930s. The Concert Hall of the Children’s Philharmonic Society “Uptown” will be situated in the new building and October District Administration will be able to organize wedding ceremonies there. The church that started being built last year is expected to open on the City Day – September 10. Ten couples from every Minsk District will get married in the historic building on that day.
