Entrants chose universities after tests, special forces test knowledge
Euroradio has monitored the way Belarusian language tests were taken.
“I tried to enter the architecture faculty last year. It was my parents' wish but I did not pass. I want to score about 50 or 60 points now", - said Ryhor Shvaiba to Euroradio. I met him near the entrance to BSU. The guy wanted to enter the faculty of history.
Judging by last year's lowest passing score at this faculty, if he scores 50 points plus 203 points with his school-leaving certificate he will be able to study for free.
About 20 entrants were waiting for the tests to start 1.5 hours before the beginning near the main BSU building.

There are more of them near Maxim Tank Pedagogical University - about a hundred people. It was good that it was not raining.

There were no tears or hysterics but people were clearly anxious.
“I spent the whole day studying yesterday. I hope to score about 70 points. I am taking the Belarusian language test because it is my mother tongue. Every Belarusian must take this test", - thinks Maria who wants to enter Medical University.
Entrants were allowed to take their places 1.5 hours before the beginning of the test. The last people arrived a few minutes before the beginning. I noticed two guys on the threshold of BSU - they were 10 minutes late and were not allowed to enter.
“We may take the test on the reserve day. We are going to enter Machine-Building College”, — said Vasil, one of the latecomers.
...The first entrant left in an hour. He did it!
“It was easy. I had to make a few guesses. Part B made me think more. I mostly hesitated about commas. I want to enter BSU but I will chose the faulty after the tests", - said Alyaksei Chernak.
“Part A seemed easy. There were commas and participles. I just want to check my knowledge, I have already graduated. I am in the army now. I may study by correspondence later", - said Sasha, a member of... special forces.

“I will enter whatever I can. I have scored about 15 points. I had to guess half of the tasks", - said entrant Yuras.
It would be funny if he scored over 50 points.
“The tasks with commas and dashes were difficult. I guessed about 10% of the tasks. I will chose my faculty after the results are announced", - said Yulya.
Over 200 people came to the main BSU building to take the tests. No entrants were made to leave, informed the commission. Interestingly, only... 3 out of the 20 people Euroradio talked to replied in Belarusian.
