Dmitry Medvedev comments on Belarusian inflation

The Russian leader set the currency crisis in Belarus as an example of the necessity of further diversification of the Russian economy. According to him, the country’s GPD growth is expected to total 4 or 4.5% this year, report Russian mass media.
 
He set Belarus as an example of 100% inflation. Medvedev said that the absence of well-timed economic reforms was the reason for the inflation. According to him, it is necessary to diversify the economy, develop industry and the real sector and to conduct “a new industrialization”.
