Civil campaign "Stop Petrol 2" is prepared in Belarus
The Chair of the steering committee for creating the civil association "For Auto!" Artsiom Sharkou has said this to Euroradio.
The reason for this is that "Belnaftahim" has increased prices for petrol by 5-10% — depending on the type of the fuel. According to Sharkou, the steering committee "For Auto!" directed an appeal to automobile owners and to "Belnaftahim" before this increase. The appeal stated that the price increase would make people poorer and would have a negative impact on the economic situation of the population.
Sharkou: "Therefore, we are starting a new action which is called "Stop Petrol-2". Its aim is to stop price increase, as we knew about "Belnaftahim's' plans to increase the prices by 20% a month ago. Today's increase by 5-10% is just the first step in this price struggle. Thus, we have decided to start an action to stop this".
