Chyzh's Ice Palace launch delayed (PHOTO)

The elite block of flats "Near Trinity" in the old Minsk centre does not appeal even to the state leader. "I do not like it much either," Alyaksandr Lukashenka confessed during his press conference on January 15. But he praised Yury Chyzh, owner of the company Triple, who is funding the construction of public infrastructure. Lukashenka said: "He (Chyzh) provided funding to construct two ice rinks for Minsk students. The rinks have already been put into service."

Euroradio has visited the mentioned winter sports venues and here is the veridct: they are not ready yet, although there are ice rinks, seats and even a huge monitor over one of the skating rinks.

However, electricians are still working there and the installation of glass panels is yet to be complete. Builders have a lot of work to do around the building too.

When asked, workers failed to name the date when the ice rinks will be ready.
