Political prisoner Mikalaj Dzyadok to be sent to closed prison

In 2011, activist of anarchist movement Mikalaj Dzyadok was sentenced to 4,5 years of imprisonment for hooliganism and property damage during the actions near the Ministry of Defence, at the territory of the Russian Embassy, Akrestsina Street detention center and others. Dzyadok is to spend 2 more years in prison yet.


The political prisoner's father, former judge Alyaksandr Dzyadok has informed to Radio Liberty that his son already has 22 reprimands for various discipline violations. The colony's special commission recommended that Mikalaj Dzyadok should be sent to the closed prison. The father thinks that this is the way the authorities are trying to make him ask for pardon.


Political prisoners Mikalaj Autukhovich, Mikalaj Statkevich, Zmitser Dashkevich, and Yauhen Vaskovich stay in closed prisons at the moment.
