Businessman Victar Shautsou suspected in major theft

This information was announced on air at the TV-Channel "Belarus-1" on December 23. Deputy head of the KGB's press-center Artur Strekh said that a criminal case against Shautsou had been started back in October. He is now in custody in the KGB prison. He allegedly stole more than 10 million dollars in one of the banks, informs BelaPAN.

Victar Shautsou is one of the most influental businessmen in Belarus. Alyaksandr Lukashenka said at the press-conference on December 23 that he was ready to release him after he recompensed the state loss by 2-3 times more. In Lukashenka's opinion, this is an ordinary economic crime.
