Br 2,5 million fine for a photo with portrait of Byalyatski

The photos published in the internet became the proof of his guiltо. Syarhei Malashonak and Yauhen Parchynski took pictures holding Ales Byalyatski's portraits in their hands, standing on the porch of the local court. Syarhei Malashonak took the same pictures standing on the porch of the local police department.

Parchynski was fined for Br 500K by the court last week. The trial against Malashonak was postponed as the youngster demanded a lawyer.

Malashonak: "The trial ended in a Br 2,5 million fine to me. Thank God they decided not to detain me. However, the fine is big, we will try to appeal against it. We did not hold a picket - it was a photo session, we just took pictures".

Malashonak says that he does not regret his action while the authorities' behaviour is absurd.
