Belstat: inflation totalled 109% in 2011

This is mentioned in  the statistical institution’s official report. According to it, the price for tinned fish, fruit, vegetables, sugar, tea and poultry increased by 2 or 2.5 times last year. Confectionery, oil, cheese, eggs, cereals, alcohol and tobacco also became twice more expensive.
 

The increase of prices for nonfoods also hit Belarusians in the pocket. Fuel, cosmetics, detergents, building materials, bicycles, motorcycles and cloth were affected most of all.


Speaking about human services, the prices for kindergartens, tourist trips, plane, international train and bus tickets increased most.
 

Let us remind you that the official inflation rate totalled 10% in 2010.
