Belarusian political refugee stands trial in Białystok
Andrei Zhukavets' case has been considered for over 12 years. The final decision will be made on Friday.
The case papers make up 90 volumes (16949 pages). A carriage was needed to bring all the case papers to court on December 14 (in the photo).
Andrei Zhukavets provided financial assistance to the Young Front and human rights activists in Belarus. He left Belarus in 1999 and asked Poland for political asylum. Belarus demands to extradite the entrepreneur (he is accused of wheeler-dealer finance).
