63-year-old Conservative Sauli Niinistö becomes President of Finland
The former Minister of Finance, he got 63% of votes. His rival Pekka Haavisto got 37%.
Sauli Niinistö will be the first President-Conservative for 50 years, notes ВВС.
He is to replace Tarja Halonen who is in the end of her second presidential term now. She used to be one of the most popular state leaders in the history of Finland.
