Public prosecution to investigate the circumstances of death of the journalist Aleh Biabenin

Public Prosecution of the Dziarzhynski district is investigating circumstances of death of the journalist Aleh Biabenin. This was informed by the Head of the district department of internal affairs of Dziarzhynsk Sviataslau Darashevich, to BelaPAN. However, he refused to give any further information. In addition to the above, Biabenin's colleagues also give no information about his death, referring to the requests of his family.

Let us remind you that Aleh Biabenin was 36 years old. He graduated the faculty of journalism of the Belarusian State University. In 1990s he worked as a Deputy Chief Editor of the independent newspaper "Imia" ("Name"). Since 1998 he became the founder and curator of the web-site charter97.org.

The journalist was outlived by his wife and two children.
