Prices of fruits and vegitables drop amid 'swine flu' rumors

The prices of tomatos and apples has dropped by 10 percent within one week due to flu epidemic Minsk.
'Swine flu' speculations and officially confirmed deaths in the Belarusian capital have made shoppers stay at home and avoid market places. In respond, vendors have begun reducing prices of vegetables and fruits.

Vendors also say that freezing temperatures have contributed to the crisis, because cabbage, apples and tomatos get spoilt very quickly.
