President set to abolish permit stamp for foreign travel

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenka today is expected to sign his decree on abolishing the foreign travel permit stamped in passports of the Belarusian citizens, Yauhen Sachak, Minsk City Police Department spokesman told reporters. However, Pavel Lyogki, the Head of Belarus President's Press Office, has neither confirmed nor dismissed this information.

“There are dozens of documents on the president's desk. I can't say which document is under study at the moment. I don't know which of them will be signed today. At least, I can confirm that he has not yet signed a decree on the abolition of the foreign travel permit stamp”.
