President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev arrives in Minsk

The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has arrived in Minsk to pay a two-day visit today, on November 25. Nazarbayev is expected to meet Alyaksandr Lukashenka today. BelaPAN notes that Nazarbayev is planning to meet Lukashenka eye-to-eye. The negotiations will continue on a larger scale later. A number of bilateral documents including a mutual statement about cooperation of the state leaders, agreements about creative and scientific technical cooperation, and agreements between the countries’ Ministries of Finance on financial cooperation are supposed to be signed.
Furthermore, a plan of actions aimed at the cooperation between Belarus and Kazakhstan in 2010 and 2011 is going to be signed.

Nazarbayev is supposed to take part in the information and communications technologies summit “Let’s unite the CIS space” on November 26. Besides the Presidents of Belarus and Kazakhstan, leaders of Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan will take part in the summit.

Nazarbayev will take part in the EurAsEC (Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan,and Uzbekistan) and the Customs Union (Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia) summit on November 27.
