Pratasevich stand trial for Kurapaty, gets acquitted

Minsk Pershamaiski District Court acquitted Raman Pratasevich on April 17. He was accused of participation in an unauthorized action in Kurapaty.

 

Policemen made a report accusing the young man of participation in the Kurapaty defense action at 10 a.m. on February 25. Pratasevich brought a reference proving that he was taking an exam at university at that time. He is an external student of the faculty of journalism in BSU.  

The court interrogated the witnesses on April 17 – BSU teachers Volha Horbach and Marharyta Tsybulskaya. They confirmed that the young man was taking an exam starting from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. By the way, he successfully passed it.  

 

The judge decided to close the case because Pratasevich’s guilt could not be proved. Pratasevich’s friends ad all the present welcomed the decision with applause.
