Post-Soviet regional security grouping calls for 'Eurasian Schengen zone'

The Collective Security Treaty Organizaion (ODKB) proposes to create 'a Eurasian Schengen zone' to ensure a free movement of people and commodities, ODKB Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha ojn January 11 told reporters in Moscow, reports the Russian news agency Ria-Novosti.
The official said that his organization approached the heads of member states about this issue last year. All of them approved the proposal, he said.

This regional security grouping includes the former Soviet republics of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgystan, Russia, Tadjikistan and Uzbekistan.
