Poroshenko’s press service: Fire in Donets Basin ceased
No agreement has been reached, Putin’s press service announced. The Russian and Ukrainian Presidents have talked on the phone today.
“An agreement to cease fire in Donets Basin’ has been reached in this phone conversation. Petro Poroshenko and Vladimir Putin have reached an agreement ‘on the steps that will help establish peace’”, the Ukrainian President’s press service reports.
Poroshenko’s press service announced that the fire had been ceased in Donets Basin, RIA Novosti concluded. However, Putin’s press sectary Dmitri Peskov said: “Putin and Poroshenko did discuss the steps needed to reach a cease-fire agreement between citizen soldiers and Ukrainian troops. But Russia cannot agree on cease-fire as it is not part of the conflict.”
